The appliance has an airtight housing (1) enclosing the user, and a connected device (7) to generate a differential pressure in the housing. The housing contains e.g. an exercise bicycle (2), a stepper, etc. It is also connected to a device to regulate temperature and/or humidity. The differential pressure device increases the pressure in the housing, or reduces it by 0,02bar to 0,2bar, pref. 0,05bar to 0,15bar.
