PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in sharpness due to wear of abrasive grains by intentionally varying a projection height of the abrasive grains, in a cutting wheel with abrasive grains bonded to a base by a brazing method. SOLUTION: An outer circumference of a disklike base 1 has a constant pattern of recessed portions 12a and 12b of different depths in a base circumference direction, and the abrasive grains 2 are positioned on a flat face and in the recessed portions 12a and 12b on the outer base circumference, and the abrasive grains 2 are bonded in a constant pattern of projection heights of the abrasive grains 2 differing in the base circumference direction. At wheel use, the abrasive grains serve for cutting in descending order of projection height, so that with cutting efficiency in an initial state of use being maintained, the life of the wheel can be prolonged.
