<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which exhibits high color density, causes no significant texture fogging, and has an excellent raw stock keeping property. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording material includes a support and, provided on the support, a thermal recording layer containing a diazo compound encapsulated in a microcapsule and a coupler compound, which develops color upon a reaction with the diazo compound, and is characterized in that a styrene- acrylonitrile copolymer is used as a non-volatile oil phase component which, together with the diazo compound, is encapsulated in the microcapsule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
