<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expanded balloon catheter capable of reducing a burden applied onto an operator in the expansion of the constriction part or the occlusion part of a organic lumen such as a digestive tract. <P>SOLUTION: This expanded balloon catheter comprises a shaft having one main lumen and at least one auxiliary lumen passed therethrough in longitudinal direction, a balloon having a cylindrical part and a generally conical part at both ends thereof, and a tip tube. The expanded balloon catheter also comprises a means for fixing the shaft to an endoscope. The fixing means is formed of a fixture comprising a holding part for holding the catheter, an operating part for releasing the holding of the catheter, and an insert part inserted into the endoscope. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
