The invention relates to a moving target-plate, to a composition therefor and to a process for manufacturing the same, employed in outdoor target shooting. According to the invention, the plate-target has some grooves (c) inside, from a cap (e) to a reinforcing ring (f), while outside it has some vertical ribs (a) and some horizontal ribs (b). The claimed target-plate is made up of a composition comprising 28% coal-tar pitch and 72% ash resulted from the coal burning in thermal power stations. The process for manufacturing the target-plate consists in melting the coal-tar pitch up to 180 degree C and admixing ash at certain time intervals, while stirring continuously and maintaining the mixture at the same temperature. The composition obtained thereby is then cast in moulds.
