<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moth-preventing illumination method by which the control of photoperiodic response plants can be realized with reduced agrochemicals, and to provide a device therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The moth-preventing illumination device which has a yellow light source 1, is set to a field, and can reduce owlet moth damages, and the like, with yellow light from the yellow light source 1 is characterized by irradiating the outside of the crops with yellow light in such an illuminance as approximately not affecting the crops in a state set to the field. The yellow light source 1 comprises a plurality of yellow LEDs whose irradiation is directed to a region ranging from an approximately horizontal direction to an obliquely upper direction. Therein, a solar battery and a lead battery may be disposed, and the yellow light source may be lighted up with an electric power from the lead battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
