<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for compensating the variation of a coil diameter with which thickness deviation caused by the variation of the coil diameter in a reversing cold strip mill is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus for compensating the variation of the coil diameter in the reversing cold strip mill in which a steel sheet is repeatedly rolled while coiling and uncoiling the steel sheet with reels arranged before and behind the rolling mill, a circuit for reducing the moment of inertia of the reel is added to the internal circuit of a tension/speed controller (ACR/ASR) or the reel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
