PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material-thickening roller having a plurality of forming dies corresponding to a material-thickening step. SOLUTION: A plurality of rollers 5-7 integrally tightened with each other are rotatably supported by bearings 12A and 12B on the inner circumferential side, and at least one of circumferential grooves 2-4 as the plurality of forming dies comprises a pair of side walls 6A and 7A formed of facing surfaces in the vicinity of outer circumferential parts of the adjacent rollers 5-7, and a bottom part formed of an outer circumferential surface of an annular insert 10 inserted in an annular groove 9 which is opened between the pair of side walls 6A and 7A and formed between the rollers 6 and 7.
