<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil which is free from the staining of a collector and gives the user an unconventional feel of handling and an experience with this writing utensil contrary to expectations and also a writing utensil which is capable of effectively making the user cognizant of an ink color and gives the user an unconventional sensation or an experience contrary to expectations. <P>SOLUTION: This writing utensil is structured so that an ink liquid 16 and a main body of a colorant 13 are separately received into the barrel and the colorant 13 is added to the ink liquid 16 halfway through a step in which the ink liquid 16 is guided to the tip of the writing utensil.
