PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing material which accomplishes excellent deodorizing performances for odors of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methyl thioalcohol, acetic acid, acetaldehyde and the like. SOLUTION: A carrier 2 carries a deodorant composition containing a hydrazine derivative and a metallophthalocyanine complex. Preferably, the ratio by weight of the hydrazine derivative to the metallophthalocyanine complex is set at 75/25 to 95/5. The carrier 2 is immersed into a treatment agent containing the deodorant composition or preferably, the carrier 2 is coated with the treatment agent to produce the deodorizing material 1.
