PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic photographing system equipped with a knowledge base adjusting device capable of reducing an operator's manual operation procedure by automatically adjusting an image parameter on the basis of a patient information stored beforehand, and acquiring the optimum ultrasonic image for the patient. SOLUTION: The system contains a patient information recording medium 10 for storing the patient information, a reference image parameter DB 20 for storing a plurality of reference image parameters, a similarity calculating part 30 which cooperates with this patient information recording medium 10 and the reference image parameter DB 20, compares the patient information with the corresponding reference image parameter, calculates the similarity between them, and determines the parameter having the highest similarity among the calculated similarities, and an image adjusting part 40 which cooperates with this similarity calculating part 30, selects a kind of probe based on the parameter of the highest similarity, and automatically adjusts image setting of the selected probe.
