<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism which decomposes and treats persistent substances in sewage and wastewater, such as colored components, dioxins, and COD components, and to provide an original method for treating the sewage and wastewater, by using the microorganism. <P>SOLUTION: This microorganism which decomposes the persistent substances, such as the colored components, comprises a Cladosporium cladosporioides DD618 strain (FERM P-18791). The method for treating the sewage and wastewater comprises culturing the DD618 strain in a reactor 2 and feeding the reactor 2 with the sewage and wastewater G to decompose and treat the persistent substances, such as the colored components, in the sewage and wastewater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
