<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and theoretically determine the necessary minimum area for the conservation of a raptorial bird. <P>SOLUTION: The method for the determination of the conservation area of a raptorial bird comprises a step S1 to specify the positions of nests of the raptorial bird living in the target region, a step S4 to divide the target region into prescribed sections and determine hunting sections from the prescribed sections according to the sectional characteristics of the prescribed sections and a discrimination formula showing the possibility of the prescribed section as the hunting section, a step S7 to calculate the quantity of preys in the hunting section from a relationship of the characteristics of the hunting section and the quantity of preys of the sectional characteristics, a step S8 to determine the hunting section based on the quantity of preys in the hunting section and the necessary amount of preys for the raptorial birds and a step T to specify the nest-holding sections and the hunting sections as the conservation area for the raptorial bird. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
