PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carve the face of a seal having a sharp countour without melting a material rubber for seals to make the same sticky even at the time of laser processing or after laser processing, to hardly generate rubber refuse, to extremely reduce the fear of ignition, to reduce the amount of a rubber having to be burnt off to enable short-time processing and to achieve weight reduction to facilitate carrying. SOLUTION: A closed-cell sponge rubber material for seals for laser processing is obtained by vulcanizing a mixture prepared by mixing unvulcanized rubber, a vulcanizing agent, a filler or the like with a hollow filler.
