PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate film which is almost free from coarse protuberances and has outstanding anti-blocking properties and excellent running/electromagnetic conversion properties under high temperature/high humidity conditions, when the film is used for a metallic thin-film type magnetic recording medium, and a magnetic recording medium using the film. SOLUTION: The laminated polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate film is constituted of a first layer formed of a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate composition not containing inert particles of an average particle size of more than 100 nm and a second layer containing inert particles laminated on one side of the first layer. The first layer contains a phosphorus compound and a titanium compound which is soluble in the polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate in a specific ratio. In addition, on the surface of the first layer side, undulating protuberances with a height of 1 to 100 nm and a width of 5 to 100μm are formed at a rate of 100 to 20,000 pieces/mm<SP>2</SP>, and the average roughness (WRa) of the center surface is less than that of the surface of the second layer side.
