PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder having superior flexibility and allowing machining while properly using the same or different types of tools held by the tool holder, separately. SOLUTION: The tool holder 100 comprises a tool holding body 140 capable of holding a plurality of different or same types of tools T1, T2 for holding at least one tool T1 of the plurality of tools T1, T2 so as to be movable forward/backward between a storage position where no interference with a work occurs during machining the work with the other tool T2 and a protrusion position where work machining is possible, and converting means 121, 131 to be in engagement with a control shaft 11 in a disengageable manner for converting the rotation of the control shaft 11 into the forward/backward movement of the tool holding body 140 when the control shaft 11 is rotated relatively to a spindle 10.
