PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky lawn mower ensuring the sufficient extent of lifting and lowering of a mower by simply composing a transmission mechanism for rotating two cutting blades in mutual opposite directions. SOLUTION: The sulky lawn mower is obtained by axially supporting a pair of cutting blade driving shafts 15 and 15 in a mower deck 28, installing the transmission mechanism for normally rotating one of the cutting blade driving shafts 15 and reversely rotating the other and mounting a hydraulic motor 57 on an input shaft of a reverse rotation transmission mechanism 42 for reversely rotating the cutting blade driving shaft 15. The reverse rotation transmission mechanism 42 is composed of a gear transmission mechanism and each mounting part 35 for the cutting blade driving shaft 15 in the mower deck 28 is formed into an upward protruding shape.
