PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medal discharge device provided with a medal clogging evading function for previously evading the clogging of medals by enlarging an opening part even when a medal clogging force is added to an elongate opening discharge port in discharging the medals, and to provide a game machine. SOLUTION: The medal discharge device discharges the medals by pushing out them one by one from the elongate opening discharge port for discharging one medal each time. The device includes a variable permission means for varying the discharge port in an enlargement direction in response to medal push-out resistance to be added to the discharge port when the medal is discharged.
