PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden beehive enabling easy and smooth opening and closure of a door compared with a conventional beehive to vertically move a door by hand, dispensing with the driving of a nail for preventing the drop of the door and, accordingly, free from the storming of bees caused by the transmission of nail-driving vibration to the bees and having a wide ventilation port to keep good ventilation and prevent the rise of the temperature in the beehive. SOLUTION: The wooden beehive 1 is provided with a mobile door 3 shiftable in lateral direction to open or close the ventilation port 2 and a falling door 5 to open or close the entrance 4 of the beehive. The entrance 4 can be closed with the falling door 5 when the ventilation port 2 is opened by laterally shifting the mobile door 3 and the entrance 4 can be opened with the falling door 5 when the ventilation port 2 is closed by laterally shifting the mobile door 3.
