PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treating apparatus for decomposing waste surely in a short time by forcibly raising the humidity in a treating tank to promote the growth of a microbe by fermentative bacteria. SOLUTION: This waste treating apparatus is provided with the fermentative bacteria-used treating tank, an agitation means, a waste crushing mechanism and a humidification part for raising the humidity in the treating tank. The waste crushed by the waste crushing mechanism is decomposed by the microbe grown by the fermentative bacteria while agitating the crushed waste.
