<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording paper, in which ununiform coating such as a wind-wrought pattern or a roll pattern, streak or the like are remarkably improved at the provision of an ink receiving layer, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In an inkjet recording medium or the inkjet recording paper formed by providing the ink receiving layer on a support, the ink receiving layer includes mainly 50 to 80 wt.% of a pigment and 20 to 50 wt.% of an adhesive. The essential components of the adhesive of the ink receiving layer are starches, polyvinyl alcohol and vinyl acetate-based polymer. A coating comprising 50 to 70 wt.% of the starches, 10 to 25 wt.% of the polyvinyl alcohol and 20 to 35 wt.% of the vinyl acetate-based polymer to 100 wt.% of the adhesive, is coated with a blade coater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
