PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing, so improved that binding of a spool shaft to a sleeve bearing is prevented from being loosed by a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this spinning reel for fishing, an elastic body 16 comprising an O-ring is interposed between the spool shaft 4 and the sleeve bearing 5, and a screw thread 17 fastens the spool shaft 4 and the sleeve bearing 5 to together join them, while the elastic body 16 is deformed. The spool shaft 4 has an elliptical whirl-stop part 4c and a threaded hole 4d, wherein the whirl- stop part 4c is formed by cutting off the rear end of a large-diameter part 4a of the spool shaft 4, and the elastic body 16 is fitted to the outer periphery of the whirl-stop part 4c. The sleeve bearing 5 has an elliptical whirl-stop hole 5a bored in the direction of the spool shaft 4, a tapped hole 5b bored in the direction perpendicular to the hole 5a, and the other hole (not shown in figure) bored in the direction of the spool shaft 4.
