FISHING ROD HAVING OUTER GUIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent entanglment of a line of a top guide while preventing a holding weight. SOLUTION: A fishing rod has a frame of the top guide and a material 24 for preventing entanglement of the line. The frame of the top guide has a metal pipe 18 installed to the tip of a rod 12, a metal ring-shaped frame 20 installed to radially protrude to the tip of the rod and connected with the metal pipe 18 and a guide ring 22 held on the ring-shaped frame 20. The material 24 for preventing entanglement of the line has a channel 24K ranging from the front end to the rear end and is formed of an elastically deformable material whose specific weight is smaller than those of metals constituting the frame 20 and the pipe 18 and whose size is within a semicircular part which is about a half of a combined ring-shaped part constituted of the ring-shaped frame and the guide ring and is held in a state that its tip contacts with the combined ring-shaped part. The lateral width of the material 24 is enlarged when an outer shape 24F to which the line is not easily entangled from the rear end is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
