ARTIFICIAL NESTING TREE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nesting tree for easily forming an entrance of a nest by a woodpecker by itself and provide a method for producing the artificial nesting tree. SOLUTION: The artificial nesting tree composed of a scooped natural log and a filling material packed in the hollow part is produced by splitting a natural log into two, scooping out the inside of the log to form hollow parts, packing a filling material into the hollow part and integrating the split parts to form the nesting tree. The wall of the hollow part preferably has a thin part to facilitate the opening of the entrance by the woodpecker and a thick part for keeping the strength of the log. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
