PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a microbial formulation with which the microbial formulation can be produced at a low cost by simple operation and the microbial formulation. SOLUTION: The method for producing the microbial formulation composed of a mixture of an inorganic fine particle solid with biomass comprises aggregating and granulating a microorganism using the inorganic fine particle solid, adding a proliferating substrate specific for the objective microorganism and carrying out culturing. In the method, the culturing is carried out within the range of the suitable mixed liquor suspended solid concentration and a part of a culture solution as the microbial formulation is taken out of a microbial culture tank when the ratio of the biomass concentration to the mixed liquor suspended solid concentration reaches the upper limit value within a prescribed range or exceeds the upper limit value. Furthermore, the inorganic fine particle solid and water, etc., are added to regulate the mixed liquor suspended solid concentration and biomass concentration within each concentration range to recontinue the culturing.
