<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator and a solid-liquid separation method. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of performing solid-liquid separation by a sheet-like filter medium on a movable belt like using a simple paper filter, after peeling a cake on the filter medium, the filter medium and the cake are individually recovered. The point is that the filter medium after the cake is peeled is brought into press contact with a roller freely rotatable corresponding to the motion of the belt and the filter medium and the cake are individually recovered. Also, after the cake on the filter medium is peeled, when the filter medium is brought into press contact with the outer periphery of a moving roller through a functional roller which is freely rotatable corresponding to the motion of the belt on the moving roller and can adjust strength as needed and the filter medium is recovered, the solid-liquid separation in any object fields is made possible.
