<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling roll, a strip-like magnet material, magnet powder and a bond magnet with which the magnet excellent in the magnetic characteristic and the reliability can be provided. <P>SOLUTION: A rapidly cooled strip producing apparatus 1 is provided with a cylindrical body 2, a coil 4 for heating and the cooling roll 5. At the lower end part of the cylindrical body 2, a nozzle 3 for injecting molten metal 6 of the magnet material is formed. On the peripheral surface 53 of the cooling roll 5, a gas venting means is arranged. The rapidly cooled strip 8 is produced by injecting the molten metal 6 from the nozzle 3 into inert gas (atmospheric gas) such as helium gas, and colliding to the peripheral surface 53 of the cooling roll 5, cooling and solidifying. In this case, gas is invaded into an interval between the peripheral surface 53 of the cooling roll 5 and a paddle 7, but this gas is exhausted from the interval between the peripheral surface 53 and the paddle 7 with the gas venting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
