PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cutting trimming scrap, producing a reduction in carry-out frequency of a scrap storage bag storing chopper scrap by increasing a capacity rate at which the chopper scrap is stored in the scrap storage bag. SOLUTION: The method of cutting trimming scrap comprises trimming metal bands, transferring trimming scrap between a pair of drums for a chopper and cutting it with the chopper, wherein the scrap storage bag is moved when the trimming scrap cut with the chopper is stored in the scrap storage bag.
