PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing treating method for an organic pollutant in water by which the organic pollutant can be efficiently and continuously removed from a wide range of aqueous solutions containing the organic pollutant, which is simple and economical and which has little fear of secondary pollution. SOLUTION: A water-insoluble organic solvent, a surfactant which can form reversed micelle with the organic pollutant and a surfactant for decomposing the reversed micelle are added to the aqueous solution containing a charged organic pollutant to produce the reversed micelle incorporating the organic pollutant, then the reversed micelle is moved in the organic solvent and is separated and removed from the aqueous solution. Then the separated organic solvent is successively brought into contact with a solution for changing charging state of the surfactant for decomposing the reversed micelle and with a solution for returning the surfactant for decomposing the reversed micelle the charging state of which is changed to original charging state.
