PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability in holding lock and holding lock release while holding a rotating drum in a rotation stop state in the case of opening a cover. SOLUTION: A locking device 10 comprises a lock pin 14 engaged with an engaged hole 7 of a cover 6; an electromagnetic solenoid 12; a link mechanism 15 putting the lock pin in engaging operation and engagement release operation in response to the operation of the solenoid 12; and a lock detecting switch 13 having a connecting bar 13b held in two positions, and detecting lock and lock release. On condition that a lock state is detected by the lock detecting switch 13, driving of a motor is allowed. In releasing the lock, the solenoid 12 is put in lock release operation on condition that the stop or low speed of the motor is detected by a low speed detecting means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
