PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erroneous clearing preventing device and an erroneous clearing preventing method for a storing means in a game machine capable of preventing an erroneous clearing process of the storing means by an attendant or the like. SOLUTION: A prize ball controller 20 adds a number of prize balls included in a delivery command signal outputted from a master controller 10 to a number of remaining prize balls stored in a storage 21. The prize ball controller 20 controls delivery in response to the number of remaining prize balls. When a power supply 50 is turned on in a state of a clear switch 60 turned on, the prize ball controller 20 notifies that a clearing process is about to be carried out (for example, the number of remaining prize balls stored in the storage 21 is displayed in a remaining prize ball quantity displaying device 23).
