PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste sorting apparatus having a compact constitution and capable of enhancing the sorting efficiency of garbage. SOLUTION: A lightweight matter is sucked along with the air in an air sorting device 3 by an ejector 6. By using the hot water stored in a water tank 70 as the operation fluid of the ejector 6, the washing of the lightweight matter can be performed and the recovery of sticking garbage also become possible.
