PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet device for enabling the effective use of a space above the rear of a low-silhouette-type toilet bowl. SOLUTION: The toilet bowl 85 is mounted on a toilet floor surface and a storage shelf 1 is mounted on the wall face at the back side of the toilet bowl above the rear of the toilet bowl, allowing the effective use of the space above the rear of the toilet bowl. A door 4 is provided on the front of the storage shelf 1, allowing the shield of stored goods and the neat appearance of a toilet room. At least part of the surface of the door 4, if formed of an elastic material, can be utilized as a back rest which is helpful in comfortably relieving nature. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
