PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of a defective product. SOLUTION: A system 100 for coating powdery release agent and a casting apparatus have the peculiarity, in which a powdery release agent supplying machine 3 communicating with a cavity 7 formed with a fixed metallic mold 5 and a movable metallic mold 6 through a release agent supplying pipe line 8, a first switch 10 for opening/closing the above release agent supplying pipe line 8 near the cavity 7, opening/closing state detecting means 27, 28 for detecting the opening/closing state of the first switch 10, a pressure reducing device 4 communicated with the cavity 7 through a pressure-reducing pipe line 9 and a second switch 12 for opening/closing the pressure-reducing pipe line 9 near the cavity 7, are arranged.
