PURPOSE:An apparatus for forming an alignment film of a liquid crystal panel and a method therefor are provided to prevent a motherboard from being damaged by being separated from a cleaning line, and promptly grasp a cause of the inferiority of the motherboard. CONSTITUTION:A loading unit(101) loads a motherboard. An aligning/rotating unit(103) aligns the motherboard and a cleaning line of a cleaning unit(102), and rotates the motherboard at an angle of 180 degrees to be aligned with the cleaning line in the case that the motherboard passing through the cleaning unit has the inferiority. The cleaning unit receives the motherboard from the aligning/rotating unit for cleaning the same. An alignment film forming unit(104) receives the motherboard from the cleaning unit for forming an alignment film. An unloading unit(105) receives the motherboard from the alignment film forming unit for unloading the same.
