PURPOSE: A system for actuating press mould lifter is provided to prevent defects of panel manufactured by accurately controlling actuation timing and speed of respective cylinders. CONSTITUTION: In an actuating system for press mould lifter installed on a forming machine for manufacturing automobile body panels and equipped with air cylinders(70) for ascending and descending the body panel, the system for actuating press mould lifter comprises an air terminal block(10) comprising air supply part(12) for supplying air, and first air entrance and exit part(14) and second air entrance and exit part(16) for controlling entrance and exit of air; a direction control valve(20) comprising silencer(28) connected to the air supply part(12) and each of the air entrance and exit parts of the air terminal block to block noise generated during operation, and first entrance and exit port(30) and second entrance and exit port(32) for exhausting a supply direction controlled air; pressure control valves(40) connected to the direction control valve(20) to control pressure of air supplied to the air cylinders(70); rapid air exhaust valves(50) connected to the lower part of the cylinders to increase exhaust rate of air from the air cylinders; a speed controller(52) for controlling air exhaust rate of the rapid air exhaust valves(50); other rapid air exhaust valves(60) connected to the direction control valve(20) and the upper part of the cylinders to increase exhaust rate of air from the upper part of the cylinders; and a speed controller(66) for controlling air exhaust rate of the other rapid air exhaust valves(60).
