PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plotting device capable of shortening the processing time, decreasing the memory capacity, reducing a jaggy and improving the picture quality. SOLUTION: A command received in a plotting data input part 11 is sent to a vector generating part 12 and converted into vector data by data in a font data storage part 13 in the case of font. In a graphic edge list generating part 14, an edge list processed in the n-fold size is generated from theses vector data. By referring to the edge list for the unit of (n) scan lines in a gray scale processing part 15, a new edge list is generated so that a part judged as an edge of a graphic can be made into half tone as needed. This edge list is processed by a clip processing part 16 and an edge list merge part 17, converted to raster data later and outputted to a printer 21 or the like. |
