A polymeric electrolyte membrane (2) has gas diffusive electrodes (3,4) on either sides, respectively. The graphite collector (5), gas permeable buffer layer (6) and metal separator (7) are formed sequentially on each electrode. An anticorrosive coating (9) of 0.01-10 Micro thickness and exhibiting polarization current of = 10 micro amps/cm2> is formed on surface of separator that contacts with buffer layer.
