PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method which enables a package firing of an electrode, a dielectric and a barrier rib, in the manufacture of a rear plate of a plasma display panel, in which a sand blast method is used to form the barrier rib. SOLUTION: At the time of forming a barrier rib in a sand blast method, barrier rib forming layer on an electrode part is cut, so in order that the electrode and a dielectric layer on it may not be cut, firing is performed once after forming them, and then barrier rib forming layer B is formed on it, and a cutting working of the barrier rib is performed. But in this manufacturing method, the electrode E and the surface of the dielectric layer D are protected by an anti-sand-blast resist A, and then the barrier rib forming layer B is formed and a cutting working of the barrier rib is performed. Therefore, firing of the electrode and the dielectric layer can be omitted, and also after forming the barrier rib, a package firing of the electrode, the dielectric and the barrier rib is made possible. |
