PURPOSE: A method for designing a control box for realizing a TV set-top box function on a PC monitor and a method for offering contents using the same are provided to exclusively offer the contents by making a driving software of the control box connect a PC with only a permitted Internet site. CONSTITUTION: The PC(130) and the monitor make the control box(106) register an intrinsic number and the subscriber information to a site for the first installation by installing the driver software for driving an exclusive browser(137) and the control box(106), and drive the exclusive browser(137) after login if a driving request signal is received from the control box(106). A remote controller(104) receives the key input from the user in order to control the control box(106). The control box(106) requests the driving by communicating with the PC(130) if an on-signal is received from the remote controller(104), provides a preset intrinsic code if an intrinsic code request signal is received from the PC(130), and is normally driven if a driving permitting signal is received from the PC(130).
