The invention presents a system and a method that allows clients to communicate with their service providers. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the clients are patients, the service providers are health care professionals (HCP), and the system is used for intelligent remote health ca re monitoring. Components of the system are deployed over three different networking zones: a public network, a demilitarized zone (DMZ), and a privat e network.
