PURPOSE: A device for interfacing a smart card and a serial communication module on a smart card reader is provided to interface the data of the smart card or the serial communication module and an UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) port of a CPU after selecting one from two smart cards and one serial communication module by using a 3-state buffer. CONSTITUTION: The interface(200) selects a master smart card, a slave smart card, or the serial communication module(400) according to the control of a one-chip processor(100), and interfaces the data of the selected device and the UART port of the CPU. A card contact(300) connects the master and the slave smart card with the interface(200). The serial communication module(400) performs the serial communication with the one-chip processor(100) through the interface(200) according to the control of the one-chip processor(100).
