PURPOSE: An extinction inducing method of dopaminergic neuron by chronic administration of PTZ(pentylenetetrazole) is provided to cope with a weak point in MPTP(1-methyl-4phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) with a single and acute treatment, and to induce extinction of dopaminergic neuron with an intraperitoneal injection. CONSTITUTION: PTZ(Pentylenetetrazole) is injected abdominally everyday for two weeks. PTZ is used to induce epilepsy and known as an antagonist of a receptor of gamma-aminobutyric acid. Therein, serious damage is induced on substantianigra and dopaminergic neuron is extinct. In this way, a cause of Parkinson's disease is examined closely. Therefore, possible medicine is developed by searching the cause of extinction of neuron of other neurodegenerative disease.
