PURPOSE: Provided is a water soluble inorganic flame retardant, which has excellent flame resistance, cold resistance, water resistance, stability and elasticity, is not harmful to the working environment, and does not cause environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The water soluble inorganic flame retardant can be used by impregnating into a non-woven material, silk, wood or paper. The flame retardant is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: forming solution (A) by dissolving 100 g of a mixture consisting of 50 to 55 wt% of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, 30 to 40 wt% of sodium monophosphate and 15 to 25 wt% of ammonium monophosphate into 2L of water; stirring the solution (A) together with 400 to 1200 g of silicone to obtain a mixed solution (B); and mixing the mixed solution (B) with 2000 to 3200 g of sodium silicate to obtain the flame retarding property and water resistance. |
