PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a developing device at a specified position which suppressing the dispersion of the stop position due to the play portion of a drive transmitting device, when stop/holding the developing device at specified position. SOLUTION: This image forming device, provided with the developing device 6 holding plural developing units around a rotary shaft, a motor driving device generating the rotary force rotating the developing device 6, driving power transmitting devices 64 and 61 transmitting the driving power between the motor driving device and the developing device 6, and an intermediate transfer body forming composited images by transfer/compositing and successively overlapping the decomposed image developed by the developing unit, is allowed to transmit the rotary force of the motor driving device to the developing device 6 through driving power transmitting devices 64 and 61, and to develop the latent image by making the optional developing device moved in the developing position opposite to the latent image carrier by the rotation of the developing device 6. Meanwhile, the image forming device is allowed to suppress the dispersion of due to the play portion of the driving power transmitting devices 64 and 61 by disposing suppressing means 65 generating the suppressing force suppressing the rotation of the developing device 6, and suppressing the rotation of the developing device 6 by the suppressing force of the suppressing means 65, at the time of rotation of the developing device 6. |
