FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cationic catalytic systems (catalysts) for oligomerization of individual C3-C14-olefins or their mixtures to bases of synthetic automobile, aviation, transmission and other types of poly- alpha-olefin oils (PAOO). Invention proposes catalytic system RnA1X3-n-R'X for cationic oligomerization of individual LAO or their mixtures to bases of synthetic PAOO (wherein R is CH3, C2H5, C3H7 or iso-C4H9; X is Cl, Br, J; n = 1.0; 1.5 or 2.0; R' is a primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl, allyl, benzyl, acetyl or benzoyl) and comprises from 0.2 to 1.5 mole (mainly from 0.25 to 0.75 mole) of organic modifying agent per each mole of RnA1X3-n additionally. As an organic modifying system the catalytic system comprises substance taken among the following group: ethylene glycol monomethyl ester, ethylene glycol monoethyl ester (ethylcellosolve), acetylacetone, ethylene glycol dimethyl ester, ethylene glycol diethyl ester, ethylene glycol nonsymmetric methylethylester, ethylene glycol methoxyacetate, ethylene glycol ethoxyacetate, ethylene glycol diacetate, 1,2- dimethoxypropane, malonic acid mono- or dimethyl, mono- or diethyl esters, acetic acid anhydride, benzophenone. The developed catalytic systems RnA1X3-n- -R'X combine high activity, high specific reproducibility, high selectivity by end products, universality with respect to olefin raw and provide preparing end products with lower solidification temperature points.
