PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform focusing over an object distance and all the area of a zoom by calculating the positional information of a focusing group and making a driving means drive based on the positional information to carry out focus correction. SOLUTION: A control means 110 instructs a range-finding means 114 to perform range-finding operation and the range-finding means 114 performs the range-finding operation. The control means 110 acquires the positional information of a variable power group 103. Then, the control means 110 delivers object distance information and variable power position information to an arithmetic means 111 and the arithmetic means 111 calculates the positional information of a focusing group 106 and returns the information to the control means 110. Based on the positional information, the control means 110 moves the focusing group 106 to a specified position through the driving means 109. Thus, the position of the focusing group 106 on the design corresponding to the optional object distance and the variable power position and a correction value are separately calculated and the position of the focusing group 106 in an individual image pickup system is accurately calculated from these sum of the calculation. |
