FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable for limiting and shutoff of formation water inflow to well in development of oil fields. SUBSTANCE: composition for formation water shutoff contains, wt.%: alkali metal silicate 0.3-4.0; salt of alkali-earth metal 0.01- 0.08; salt of alkali metal 0.2-0.4; polymethylsiloxan 0.2-0.6; the balance, water.
