FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of alumina and can be used for processing low-quality alkaline alumosilicate raw by caking method. Method for processing low-quality alkaline alumosilicate raw involves its mixing with disthene sillimanite concentrate taken in the mass ratio = 1:(0.25-1.00), caking with reagent mixture, processing cake for alumina, belite slimes for cement and soda-potash mother liquors for soda and potash. In caking reagent mass consisting of lime and pirssonite is used that is prepared from belite slimes and soda-potash mother liquors by extra-furnace synthesis. Invention provides reduction of specific yield of dump belite, specific consumption of lime, reduction of crust-formation in low- temperature zone of furnaces and energy consumption.
