FIELD: jet printing method and composition for surface processing of substrates, such as paper and polymeric plastic material. SUBSTANCE: method involves using composition comprising bivalent metal salt soluble or solubilized in aqueous medium of gluing substance with pH value of about 7-9. Said aqueous medium also comprises starch and gluing substance. Salt is selected from the group consisting of calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium acetate or magnesium acetate.
